The MPAA rating has been assigned for “adventure action, suggestive content and some language.” The Kids-In-Mind.com evaluation includes a few kissing scenes and some anatomical references and cleavage revealing outfits; several instances of characters in a video game “dying” by animal attack or other perils and …
Due to a few scary scenes, we recommend ‘Jumanji’ for kids aged 6 and over.
Jungle Boy Film Productions, Ltd. – [Production Co.] Rated PG for some mild violence and language. Rated R for strong violence, and for language and some drug content.
SEX/NUDITY 1 – One chaste kiss between two kids. VIOLENCE/GORE 5 – A man keeps shooting at people with a gun. Jungle animals (lions, alligators, etc.)
There are some positive messages in the story, including teamwork, overcoming stereotypes and friendship. I’d adhere to the rating and say it’s suitable for teens 13 and older. Overall, “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” ends up being a fun, hilarious comedy that families with older kids can enjoy together.
Adventurous but will be scary for the really young kids. There was a spider and huge bugs in there, so if your child is scared of seeing spiders or big bugs like me, skip that part of the movie or don’t watch it.
The Hollywood thriller, The Bourne Identity, will be the first film to be released under the new 12A category. The original 12 certificate was introduced in 1989 to deal with the first film in the Batman series.
Age Appropriate For: 12+. This reboot of the ’90s film “Jumanji” puts a video game spin on the story, with high school students transported to the jungle world.
Broadly speaking, current British classifications are similar to US ones – G equals U, PG equals PG, PG-13 equals 12A (barring a one-year age difference) and NC-17 equals 18 (though the British version doesn’t have the cultural problems discussed above).
The age restriction of the 15 certificate is enforced by councils, not the BBFC. The BBFC 15-rating is equivalent to an R-rating from the MPAA in the United States. (Examples of 15-rated films include Deadpool, Logan, John Wick, Kick-Ass, Joker, Hustlers, Parasite, Good Boys and IT).
The MPAA rating has been assigned for “suggestive content and language.” The Kids-In-Mind.com evaluation includes some kissing scenes and implied sex scenes, references to unrequited love, and a few cleavage revealing outfits; a man is struck by a bus during a blackout and we see him with bloody injuries and in the …
Kids won’t get this sex-driven, head-trip comedy. Dramedy mixes adult material with worthwhile messages. Brilliant existential comedy is filled with sex, profanity. Cult classic with smoking, kissing, stereotypes.
4. Requirements of use. The Wave Services are available for individuals aged 13 years or older.
The Wave is based on a true incident that occured in a high school history class in Palo Alto, California, in 1969. The powerful forces of group pressure that pervaded many historic movements such as Nazism are recreated in the classroom when history teacher Ben Ross introduces a “new” system to his students.
“Matilda The Musical is recommended for a general audience. As an advisory to adults who might bring young people, the show is suitable for ages 6 and up. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.
For younger children, though, especially those having some particularly difficult growing pains, Matilda may nurture morbid thoughts. … However, potentially scary scenes, such as Miss Trunchbull’s spinning a girl around by her pigtails, may be too much for sensitive kids.
Films classified 12A and video works classified 12 contain material that is not generally suitable for children aged under 12. No one younger than 12 may see a 12A film in a cinema unless accompanied by an adult.
Deadpool Age Rating is R for strong violence and language throughout, sexual content, and graphic nudity.
The restrictions set by the US ratings board mean the F-word can only be used once in a PG-13 movie.
