Watch Full Out 2: You Got This! Netflix.
“Full Out 2” is the second film in a series focused on women’s college gymnastics teams. The first installment of the series was a biography of UCLA Bruins athlete Ariana Berlin. However, the sequel will focus on OU gymnasts Brenna Dowell, Chayse Capps and AJ Jackson.
Ariana Alyse Berlin Rotstein (born October 29, 1987) is an American artistic gymnast, dancer and film actress who competed for the UCLA Bruins gymnastics team from 2006 to 2009.
Full Out is the inspirational true story of Ariana Berlin, an elite American gymnast Ariana’s life took a sharp turn after she almost died in a debilitating car accident, crushing her dreams of competing in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
A devastating car accident caused her early retirement from the sport in 2001. She and her mother were rear ended and run off the road, and Berlin ended up with, among other things, two broken legs and two collapsed lungs. She was in a five day induced coma, only to wake up and learn that she’d never compete again.Aug 10, 2018
*It’s a super family friendly, lower budget film. It’s cheesy, but also full of heart and great lessons! There aren’t a lot of dance or gymnast videos that I can think of that are appropriate for all age groups and that give the kids some real life role models to look up to and this movie does more than that!
It was so refreshing to sit down with my 6 year old gymnast that featured dancing and budding relationships that didn’t feel sexual. I have seen so many other movies with this kind of content that the dancing was at least rated PG 13 and the teenage kids are all getting hot and heavy.
Lifetime’s Full Out is based on the true story of Ariana Berlin, the San Diego-born gymnast who had hoped to make it to the Olympics, until a terrible accident caused her serious injuries. CBS College Sports explains the injuries and accident this way.
