Jim is at first unwilling to return to Scranton because of Pam but eventually decides to do so. Karen, who has grown fond of Jim and wishes to pursue a relationship with him, also transfers to Scranton. In “The Merger,” Jim’s and Pam’s reunion is awkward.

Ed Helms’ absence from season 9 was due to his commitment to finish Hangover 3. So the writers decide to explain Andy’s absence from the show by killing off Andy’s dad and Andy sorting out his family problems. The problem started when the writers decided to repeat Jim-Pam-Roy story with Pete-Erin-Andy.
Jim Might Have Cheated On Pam…
According to the fan theory, Jim admitted he cheated on Pam during the last episode of The Office titled ‘Finale. ‘ When Pam was asked during the Q&A session why she stopped trusting Jim, he appeared to hastily cut her off.
After years of back and forth between the co-workers, Jim finally asks Pam out on a date during season three, episode 25 of The Office. This comes after Jim breaks off his romance with Karen and drives back from interviewing for a job at the corporate offices of Dunder Mifflin in New York.
He and Michael had already been co-managers of Dunder Mifflin before, but Jim decided to step down from the position because he could make more money as a salesman based on commission.

In the final episode of the show, Jim and Pam try to quit their jobs at Dunder Mifflin, as they are finally moving on to better pastures. In their debriefing with the new manager, Dwight, he won’t allow them to quit. Instead, he fires them, so that they both receive huge severance packages.
She appeared in a recurring role in the eighth season. The episode also relates to Pam’s pregnancy. Jenna Fischer was actually pregnant and her pregnancy was written into the series with Pam and Jim having their second baby.
Sorry to disappoint you, but the couple we’re referring to is not, in fact, John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer aka Jim and Pam. Though the pair are great friends in real life, they are happily married to other people.
