So wear an undershirt to maintain the quality of your cashmere and other delicate fabrics, such as wool—which we know shrinks in the dryer because we’ve all learned that the hard way. Even cotton, which can be washed, should have a tee underneath, so you won’t have to wash it so often.
“Accentuate a chunky knit with a belt at the waist, a minimal bag, and cozy pants or trousers,” says Tyler. To elongate your frame amid hefty layers, the fashion influencer says, “boots or a simple pair of heels will do wonders for this look.”
You can wear anything with a grey sweater apart from a pair of trousers in the same shade of grey. Navy trousers or a pair of blue jeans would look really nice with a grey sweater and this is one of my favourite combinations. You could also wear khaki coloured trousers which looks really good with a grey sweater.
Skip the polo under a sweater
Wear a button up dress shirt or an oxford underneath a sweater, a polo shirt shouldn’t be worn over a sweater as the collar of the shirt doesn’t have enough structure. This goes for all types of sweaters – crewneck, v-neck, and shawl collar sweaters.
Wear a base layer: I generally wear a long-sleeved polypropylene undershirt under everything in the winter. The polypropylene wicks away moisture from your skin and keeps you dry. But a better choice, for me, is to wear a merino wool long-sleeved wool under shirt, because it seems to breath better.
Your chest isn’t the only thing that should stay fairly covered at work. … Wear a light cardigan over a backless top or dress to make it work-appropriate.
Make sure the hoodie and the tails of the shirt are about the same length …if one is longer it’ll need to be the shirt. So don’t go with one of those “tall” hoodies that hang down to your crotch. You can’t tuck anything so it’s all gotta look good layered.
Don’t layer under a V-neck sweater:
Just like too many cooks spoil the broth, too many V-necks spoil your look. If you plan to wear a V-neck t-shirt, then you should never wear a V-neck t-shirt underneath. When wearing a sweater with a V-neckline, then stick to polo t-shirts or a button-down shirt underneath.
Ideally, you always want to avoid looks at the extreme end of the spectrum, that means no jeans, no trainers, no hoodies, or no sweatpants.
Wear a v-neck sweater with a crew neck t-shirt underneath. You can wear a basic, grey sweater and then almost any t-shirt color will look good with it. To keep it casual, pair your sweater-shirt combo with jeans.
Your shirt collar points should always be tucked in below the sweater when wearing a crew neck sweater with a tight round neckline. Most popular collar types (including spread, semi-spread and point collars) are all easily kept tucked in unless your sweater neck opening is abnormally large.
The crew neck is the most common type of sweater sold to men. When wearing it to work, wear a dress shirt underneath with your dress shirt collar inside the collar of the sweater. You can also wear a tie under the sweater.
When it comes to price, the laws of supply and demand come into play: It’s not only getting more popular, but also, the finer the wool, the thinner each strand is, meaning it takes more wool to create that sweater/beanie/suit/coat.
Why not call Angora goat ‘Angora’ and just call the rabbit ‘Rabbit’. … people are cray…) Acrylic – and other synthetic fiber Since it’s man-made, it will not have scales and shouldn’t itch. Good quality synthetics can even be blended with the natural wools to increase the wearability of the sweater.
The ideal solution: red underwear! The better the red colour matches your own skin colour, the less you can see the bra under a white top. For lighter skin types, therefore, the colours nude, pink and light red are particularly suitable, while darker types should prefer red shades such as bordeaux.
