Reptiles are turtles, snakes, lizards, alligators and crocodiles. Unlike amphibians, reptiles breathe only through their lungs and have dry, scaly skin that prevents them from drying out. Amphibians and reptiles are together called herpetofauna, or “herps” for short.

Is Yoshi from Mario Bro’s a turtle? – Quora. No, he’s either dinosaur, dragon, or just a yoshi. However, he was originally going to be “good” turtle to the koopa’s bad turtle during development of his character, but the creators scrapped the idea. The only thing “turtle-y” about Yoshi is his weird saddle-like shell.
The Nintendo character Bowser from the Mario games is also based on an alligator snapping turtle. Someone who owned the turtle may have dumped it into the river when it grew too big, The Siberian Times reports.
It cannot be hurt by any obstacle except the Gold Star, which is the only item that is completely invincible unless the character using that item falls off the track. The Bowser Shell is that way too, as it can fall off, and if it does, then the shell automatically breaks.
