You’ll receive 650 silver after this cutscene and you’ll need to decide who to give the silver to. It doesn’t really matter so choose whomever you want. We chose to give the silver Gwriad Ap Merfyn because he’s an undergo and we love a good underdog story.
At the end of Closing the Vault you’ll need to decide what to do with the silver that was found beneath Jorvik. There are no significant consequences to this, but we recommend that you give the silver to the merchants if you want some positive dialogue with Halfdan later.
After you have spoken to King Rhodri, you will get the silver. This is when you must decide who gets the silver. There are five potential people to choose from: Lady Angharad, Ivarr the Viking, Ynyr the Advisor, Gwriad – King Rhodri’s Brother, and Eivor.
Firstly, there is no way that you could have saved Ceolbert, he’s just sadly one of the poor casualties of your quest for peace in Sciropescire. However, there are two big decisions that you can have impact on in the King Killer mission. The first is Ivarr’s fate.
You can choose to give the silver back to the merchants of the town or use it to fund Halfdan’s war. We chose to give it to the merchants because they deserve it after being cheated by the Needle.
You’ll first need to navigate a town dispute though between Gudrun and Holger. Listen to their sides of the story and decide who you think is right: it doesn’t matter which decision you choose because Sigurd will soon barge in.
Actually, the best choice is just to keep the silver for yourself. Just go ahead and talk to everyone, but give the money to nobody. Then, speak with the bishop and straight-up lie. The quest will continue as it always does.
When you find opponents for flyting, Orlog, and drinking, you can wager silver against them. Become confident in all three mini-games and select the large bets for 200 silver apiece and bam! Each game you win, you’ll get double your stake back, for a total of 400 silver.

Definition of war-weary
1 : affected by war-weariness : tired of or depressed by war. 2 : of, relating to, or being a combat plane so worn or damaged as to be beyond repair and consigned to be scrapped, cannibalized, or used for target practice.
Dodging Ivarr’s Moves Is The Key To Beating Him
Ivarr’s sensitive points are highlighted like every boss, which are shown to be his right leg and left arm. It’s important to hit these areas with the arrows to stun him. This will give Eivor the opening to dash toward Ivarr and attack him.
When the rescue mission to save Sigurd is ready, you have the choice to ask him to join or stay to do as he pleases. Dag says he must stay back to watch over the settlement. Whether you tell him he must join or he can do what he wants, Dag will make the choice not to take this journey with you.
The best choice here is to give Dag his axe. If you don’t, it will change the ending of the game and you won’t get the true ending for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. If you don’t care what ending you get, choose whichever option you like.
8 Halfdan Is Thor’s Reincarnation
Halfdan Ragnarsson, one of the sons of Ragnar Lodbrok and the Conqueror of the North. He is also the reincarnation of Thor, the Norse god of thunder. The game was very direct with how it introduced the character. Halfdan and Thor also have the same face model and voice actor.
Eivor does not join the Hidden Ones, but shares common interests with them and so chooses to help them with their quest.
King Aelfred will join Eivor. He has been hiding under the alias of Poor-Fellow Soldier of Christ. Aelfred will admit that the Order wanted him dead, and he had to act very carefully, and now in his life in exile, he has found a reassuring peace. The man will admit that the Grand Maegester of the Order is him.
There are three people you can accuse of betraying Soma, and they’re her three closest allies; Birna, Lif, and Galinn. There’s reason to suspect each of them, but only one is the actual traitor. If you don’t care about becoming Sherlock Holmes for a short while, then you should know the traitor is Galinn.
We know that The Vault is a member of the council of Jorvik, narrowing the suspects to three: Faravid, Audun, and Hjorr. The three norsemen each have reasons to be suspected. During the questline, you found a stash of silver underneath the town.
If you make three or more choices that go against Sigurd, then at the end Sigurd will leave the Raven Clan and go back to Norway. However, if you make three or more choices in support of Sigurd, then he’ll stay with the clan at Ravensthorpe in England.
Eventually, though, Basim was revealed to be the bad guy all along who wanted revenge on Eivor for his past wrongs as Odin during the First Civilization. This evil scheme turned Basim into a hammy villain, also being too “out there” to fall in line with his characterization.
Agreeing with Sigurd’s judgment will improve Sigurd’s attitude. Opposing Sigurd’s judgment will decrease Sigurd’s attitude towards you.
Then who is Sigurd? Well, Sigurd is also an Isu. In Eivor’s Norse version of reality, he is the Isu known as Tyr, the Norse God of War, so all that talk of him being a god by the evil Order of the Ancients member Fulke was actually spot on.
