Currently, if you want to resize an object (by clicking and dragging a corner) without distorting it, you need to hold down the shift key.
To keep stroke width constant, or change (along with other properties) in proportion to objects and text when resizing, go to Edit>Preferences>General – then check or uncheck “Scale Strokes and Effects”.
Vector files are by far preferred for any kind of large sign due to their ability to scale without negatively affecting image quality.
The smartest way to do it is to use the Content-Aware Scale without removing or adding parts of the image. Select the UI element layer and choose Edit > Content-Aware Scale. Then, click-and-drag the UI element into the white space.
To maintain the object’s proportions as it scales, hold down Shift as you drag diagonally. Tip: While using the Scale tool with the Shift key, start dragging at an angle of 45° horizontally or vertically but in an angle. To scale the object along a single axis, hold down Shift as you drag vertically or horizontally.
One way to skew text in Illustrator is from the object menu. Click object, then transform, then shear. You can also right click on a PC or control click on a Mac and jump right to the transform option. Another way to skew text is through the transform panel.

The Photo Compress app available at Google Play does the same thing for Android users. Download the app and launch it. Select the photos to compress and adjust the size by choosing Resize Image. Be sure to keep the aspect ratio on so the resizing doesn’t distort the height or width of the photo.

Hit Ctrl + A on PC or ⌘ + A to select all the art in your file. Look in the top bar or Transform window and you’ll see the width and height of your selection. link clicked, enter a new height or width dimension and hit enter which will then scale your image proportionally.
First we have to select the object or group of objects that we want to resize, and then right click and go to Transform > Scale.
