Here’s how to use it: 1 – Copy the URL of the page you wish to print from your browser’s address bar (right-click on the URL, then click Copy). 2 – Visit www.printfriendly.com. (Note: I recommend that you bookmark this page so you can load it quickly when you need to print a web page.)
Just select the desired text on the current page and press CTRL+P. This will bring up the Print dialog, where you can simply select the “Selection” option there. This will print out only the selected text.
Google Chrome: Chrome has a hidden reader mode you can enable. After you do, click menu > Distill Page. If you don’t want to mess with hidden flags, we recommend opening the web page in another browser and printing it from there.
Enable reader view before printing in Safari
Visit the web page or article you wish to print in Safari browser. Click on the Reader View button before the URL address in the address bar to enter into Reader mode. You’ll then get just a nice simple and clean article with only text and images.
After the installation right click on the frame you want to print, select [This Frame] and the select the option that fits the best with your situation, usually [Open Frame in New tab]. Once you have the frame in a new tab you simply print it with CTRL-P or Right-Click [Print].
You need to double click at the bottom of the word document page and when it says footer you can paste it into that area. Try this: In Page Setup, have URL on the left in the Footer and have both Center and Right as Blank. That about as good as you’re gonna get of a full URL.
In the Safari app on your Mac, choose File > Print. Click the options pop-up menu (in the separator bar), choose Safari, then set the webpage printing options. If you don’t see the options pop-up menu in a separator bar to the right of the page preview, click Show Details at the bottom of the Print dialog.
Font Size Workaround
There is hope. Here is one trick you can use to reduce the font size for an article you want to print or save as a PDF or plain text document. Select all of the text on the desired webpage when in Reader View (⌘A). Create a new document in a text editor like TextEdit.
When you’re viewing a website you want to print, click one time up in the address bar to highlight the address, then do a right-click and choose “Copy”. Then go to the Print Friendly website and paste it in the URL field and click “print preview”: If the preview looks okay, print it! Here’s an example.
It is perfectly legal if you scrape data from websites for public consumption and use it for analysis. However, it is not legal if you scrape confidential information for profit. For example, scraping private contact information without permission, and sell them to a 3rd party for profit is illegal.
To print only part of a web page, select the part you want by using the mouse. Then press Ctrl+P and, in the Print dialog box, choose Selection. Click the Print button to print only the selected portion of the web page.
Capturing Part of the Screen on Chromebook
To take a screenshot of a specific area of the screen, hold down Ctrl + Shift, then press the Window Switch key. A small crosshair icon will appear in place of your mouse cursor. Using your trackpad, click and drag until the area that you wish to capture is highlighted.
You can print from your Chromebook using most printers that connect to Wi-Fi or a wired network. Currently, Chromebooks don’t support Bluetooth printing. Tips: You can connect your printer to your Chromebook with a USB cable.
