HTML <menu> Tag
The <menu> tag defines a list/menu of commands. The <menu> tag is used for context menus, toolbars and for listing form controls and commands.
A navigation bar (also called a Navbar) is a user interface element within a webpage that contains links to other sections of the website. In most cases, the navigation bar is part of the main website template, which means it is displayed on most, if not all, of the pages within the website.

The HTML <menu> tag is used for creating a menu list. This tag has been deprecated in HTML and redefined in HTML5.
The <menuitem> HTML element represents a command that a user is able to invoke through a popup menu. This includes context menus, as well as menus that might be attached to a menu button.
A navigation bar (or navigation system) is a section of a graphical user interface intended to aid visitors in accessing information. Navigation bars are implemented in file browsers, web browsers and as a design element of some web sites.
The tag used for the navigation bar is the <nav> tag, so we’ll start from there. We just need to open and close the nav tag and leave some space in between to add all the other tags. Now that we have that in place, we can add our list of links.

<menu> Tag: The <menu> tag in HTML is used for creating menu lists. It defines a list of commands which can be used by the users to create listing form control, toolbar, context menus, and commands. The <menu> tag was removed from HTML and reintroduced in HTML5. It is not supported on the majority of platforms.
The button element, having the “menu” value in its type attribute, creates a menu button that when used in a specific combination with other elements ( menu , li and menuitem ) can aid in the creation of toolbar-type menus. Browser support for menu buttons, and for toolbar menus in general, is very low.
The HTML <command> tag is used for specifying a command that the user can invoke. According to the HTML 5 specification: A command is the abstraction behind menu items, buttons, and links.
Use Notepad built-in settings
In order to enable it click on the Format tab. From the options that will be displayed uncheck the Word Wrap feature. That’s it; now you should be able to access the Notepad Status Bar – verify that by clicking on the View tab.
