Apple has introduced a new StoreKit API that allows developers to implement a “Request a Refund” option within their apps. Users can tap on this option, select a specific in-app purchase, identify the issue that prompted the refund request, and tap the Request Refund button.
Apple’s main customer support phone number is 1-800-275-2273 in the US. You can also contact Apple Support using the Support website, the Support app, or by going to an Apple Store.

Ask for a refund in a polite and formal language. Include details about the product—what was purchased, when, and what the price was. Explain why you want to return the item. Mention relevant aspects of the transaction such as dates and place of delivery.
From time to time, Apple may occasionally refuse a refund request if they suspect you have committed fraud, abused the refund policy, or displayed other manipulative behavior that entitles the company to a corresponding counterclaim.
You purchased it from the app store (or subscribed to a service) and forgot you did. Someone you share your phone with purchased it from the app store. Apple has no published email address for Customer Service. Apple handles most issue, technical and customer service, only via telephone or in-person at an Apple Store. As Miriam suggested, you can call Customer Relations if you have an issue that you can’t resolve in another way.
No Bots Please
Again, from the Apple Chat page: “Talk to a real person… Most often, your conversations will be with a live agent. You might get fast, automated responses for simple requests, but a real person will be available if needed.”
You can generally return purchases made using Apple Pay by providing the receipt. When the merchant processes your refund, it goes back to your payment card automatically. If you don’t have the receipt or the merchant asks for more information, you can provide the payment card-specific Device Account Number.
But here’s the thing – you’re not doing yourself any favors being a jerk in support before asking for a refund. If you don’t like something or don’t want something, and you have the right to a refund, just make a simple and straightforward request. No need for drama. You shouldn’t expect a refund if you’ve been a jerk.
Some include people buying accessories for an item they broke. They may no longer use or need the product. Or an upgraded product is available, and they want to own that product instead. It can also happen because a customer was forced to move, change jobs or just downsize their personal life.
It could be something else from the iTunes Store, or App Store. See your purchase history for the App Store or iTunes Store – Apple Support. All items that are charged to your Apple ID account, will be specified in the purchase history, including subscription fees.

Can you dispute a non-refundable charge? Yes. Cardholders have the right to dispute a transaction, as long as there is a valid claim.
You don’t have to wait forever for things you order to arrive. And, you can dispute charges for things that didn’t arrive or that you didn‘t accept. As for products that show up that you never ordered, you don’t have to pay for them. Federal laws protect you.
Return abuse is a form of “friendly fraud” where someone purchases products without intending to keep them. Perhaps the best known form of this abuse is “wardrobing” or “free renting” – in which the person makes a purchase, uses the product(s), and then returns the merchandise.
Pursuant to the Implementing Rules and Regulations of R.A. 7394 or also known as the Consumer Act of the Philippines, consumers have the right to return defective goods or demand remedies in the event that the goods are defective.
What Is Amazon’s Refund Policy Without Return? The company’s Conditions of Use states that Amazon doesn’t take title to returned items until it arrives at their fulfillment center. A refund could be granted without needing a return, but this is decided solely at Amazon’s discretion.
Apple.com/bill appears on your billing statement when you buy an app, music, movie, or other content from Apple. It also appears when a subscription renews and when a family member buys apps or content from Apple.
