(FOX 9) – The Minnesota State Fair drew its largest crowd of the 2021 festival on Saturday with 153,953 visitors passing through gates during the day, but that number is still well below average. Meanwhile, vendors are beginning to take stock of how well they did during this challenging season.

The Minnesota State Fair offers a shopping experience like no other! These vendors join nearly 900 merchants spread throughout the fairgrounds.
Admission during the fair is $16 for most people (13-64 years old), and $14 for seniors (65-plus) and kids (5-12). Children 4 and under get in for free. But, pre-fair tickets are $13 for everyone ages 5 and up until 9 p.m., Aug. 25.

For the comfort and safety of all, designated smoking areas have been established at convenient locations throughout the fairgrounds. Smoking (including the use of e-cigarettes and vape pens) is permitted only in these areas.
Fair guests are welcome to bring outside food and drinks. However, no alcoholic beverages may be brought into the fair. Coolers are permitted, but will be searched at entrances. Coolers are not permitted in the Grandstand concert venue.
One of the only true contenders to Texas’ “best and most fried food-stuff” crown (and in some people’s eyes, the clear winner), is the Minnesota State Fair. Yes, there are rides.
The State Fair of Texas prohibits Fair attendees (including LTC holders) from openly carrying handguns while at the Fair.
