Jason Hanson. It doesn’t matter what sport or position you play, you are probably doing it right when the same team holds on to you for 20 years. Hanson is the only kicker to ever be named Offensive Rookie of the Year by the Pro Football Writers Association.
Currently, Tucker is listed as seventh on PFR’s Hall of Fame Monitor, which estimates a player’s chances of making the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Morten Andersen and Adam Vinatieri top the list, but aside from Vinatieri, no kicker has played in the “modern era” of football.

There have been a few times but the only that comes to mind was in 1980 between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears that ended in overtime. Packer Place Kicker Chester Marco attempted a game winning field goal that was blocked, bounced into his arms and he ran untouched into end zone for a game winning touchdown.
Mark Moseley (1982)
Moseley was just 4 for 8 in the postseason but won a Super Bowl with Washington. Why Moseley didn’t make the HOF: There are only two kickers in the Hall of Fame. Moseley had a good career, but his credentials needed to be exceptional just for consideration.
Vinatieri is arguably the most famous kicker in NFL history, thanks to the three field goals that sealed Super Bowl wins for New England three different times and one miraculous kick in snowy Foxboro to beat the Raiders in the “Tuck Rule Game.” He also is the NFL’s all-time leading scorer.
Russell Wilson hasn‘t looked like a future Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee in recent weeks. … And even though he hasn’t looked nearly the same since he returned from a finger injury that required surgery, there’s no doubt Wilson has done enough to cement his status as a lock for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Fans, analysts, and commentators seem to believe Big Ben is on pace for a Hall of Fame career. … The list of quarterbacks to win more than one is limited to 10 quarterbacks in history (Starr, Staubach, Griese, Bradshaw, Plunkett, Montana, Aikman, Elway, Brady, Roethlisberger). So he’s in elite company there.

Believe it or not, the dropkick remains a legal maneuver in the National Football League today. It still exists in the NFL’s official rule book. … Flutie’s point-after-attempt was the first drop kick converted in the NFL since 1941.
“By definition, a drop kick is a kick by a player who drops the ball and kicks it as, or immediately after, it touches the ground. If that does not happen, the play should be shut down and a flag thrown for a false start,” the league office said.
