Unfortunately, at this time, there are no plans to revive or reboot Game of Thrones past season 8. And as such, there will be no Game of Thrones season 9. HBO has not said anything about reviving the series. … The series takes place around 180 years before the events of Game of Thrones.
Benioff and Weiss said that they were unable to produce 10 episodes in the series’ usual 12 to 14-month timeframe, as Weiss explained, “It’s crossing out of a television schedule into more of a mid-range movie schedule.”
HBO announced on Friday that while the first two episodes of Season 8 will be under an hour each, the final four will run 82 minutes, 78 minutes, 80 minutes, and 80 minutes apiece. Though those running times are shorter than the once-rumored two-hour episodes, they’s still so long that they’re basically feature films.
Plot. Game of Thrones is roughly based on the storylines of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series by George R. R. Martin, set in the fictional Seven Kingdoms of Westeros and the continent of Essos.
David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, Game of Thrones showrunners, decided to cut the episode count in their final two seasons from the standard 10 to seven and six as part of a compromise with HBO (which wanted more episodes). This required them to race from plot development to plot development to get to the end.
The anticipated continuation of ‘Game of Thrones’ will debut in 2022 on HBO Max, and the trailer for the backstory of the adventure fantasy is out now.
The book series is young adult or adult. But the HBO adaptation is decidedly R-rated since it features tons of nudity, sexual content, and graphic, even gratuitous violence. HBO even gave it an R disclaimer at the beginning of all shows.
Valyria = Ancient Greece
Ancient, knowledgeable people that colonized and influenced lots of Westeros/Europe but over time most of their knowledge was lost. Their language formed the base for the continent’s language(s).
Bran Stark Became the King of Westeros in the Game of Thrones Season Eight Finale. Here’s what that means for the Seven Kingdoms. … Tyrion’s reasoning for suggesting Bran was simple: Bran held all of the stories of Westeros. He knew its people, their fears and joys, and times of war and peace.
He is of course referring to the heart-breaking nuzzle from Drogon after understanding that Daenerys was unresponsive. Instead, they confirmed, Drogon took her to Volantis – the homeland of the Targaryens and the dragons they commanded.
Although various scenes were shot on studio sets in Belfast, Northern Ireland, many major moments from the HBO hit drama feature real landscapes and medieval fortresses in the backdrop. In the pilot episode, for example, scenes at Winterfell, the Stark family home, were shot at Doune Castle in Scotland.
The real-life Winterfell is at Castle Ward in County Down, Northern Ireland. Aside from hosting “Game of Thrones” tours, it’s a beautiful National Trust property on the shores of Strangford Lough, with an 18th-century stately home and acres of landscaped gardens to explore.May 19, 2019
In fact, its capital, King’s Landing, is almost entirely filmed in the very real—and very beautiful—city of Dubrovnik, Croatia. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Dubrovnik is known as the pearl of the Adriatic, thanks to its strategic location on the Dalmatian coast and its stunning Gothic and Baroque architecture.Aug 13, 2017
As we know, both Sansa and Theon have been through it. … But when Theon and Sansa last saw each other, the former was still largely Reek. He hadn’t entirely shaken his brainwashing and was deeply traumatized. He and Sansa might have a lot of love for one another, but they aren’t in love.
With puberty stubbornly refusing to accommodate TV production schedules, the ages of the various Stark children are a little more flexible than most on Game of Thrones. Sansa is 13 when the series begins and 20 when it ends, Arya is 11 at the start and 18 at the end and Bran is one year younger than Arya.
Share All sharing options for: Tyrion subtly won the Game of Thrones. Warning: spoilers ahead for Game of Thrones’ finale, “The Iron Throne.” In the Game of Thrones finale, Bran Stark — inarguably the least useful character who managed to survive all eight seasons of the show — became king of Westeros.May 21, 2019
