At the end of X-Men: The Last Stand, Professor X’s body has been exploded, but his brain has jumped into the body of a brain-dead comatose man. In Days of Future Past’s dark future, Professor X is alive and in his own body.May 23, 2014
Professor X died, but he was revived by an unknown third party. Professor X did not actually die, but faked his death for unknown reasons. A character wakes up, and realizes that X3 was all a nightmare. Marvel decided X3 was a bad movie and Highlander 2’d it out of continuity without explanation.
Charles had a twin brother in the womb. Xavier being hyper developed but not in control could not reel in his powers and hence ended up frying his brothers brain in the womb, resulting in him being born brain dead and therefore comatose from the get go.
The serum that took his powers eventually wears off after an extended period of time; and/or. Magneto was so powerful he was eventually able to overcome the effects of the serum and regain his powers.
Ultimately: Writers do what they need to do, to adapt stories as needed for their productions. In order for the movie version of the Days of Future Past story to take place, Kitty Pryde acquired psychic powers necessary to send Wolverine back in time.
The Juggernaut
The Juggernaut appears in the X-Men: Evolution animated series, voiced by Paul Dobson. This version is Professor X’s half-brother and his powers are the result of a dormant mutant ability awakened by the Gem of Cyttorak.
Like having a skeleton coated in lead, the metal leeches into Logan’s body over time. It takes years to have a major effect, but by 2029, the year “Logan” is set, the adamantium has so weakened Logan that he’s aging at a normal rate and struggling to heal himself after injuries.
He whispers, “sunseeker”, referring to the yacht on which Logan and he planned on spending the rest of their days. This comment suggests that Xavier was telling Logan to not mourn him, but to move forward with his life, remembering him with happy thoughts.
In a final confrontation with a traitor at the institute (the X-Men’s teammate Xorn, posing as Magneto) Jean fully realizes and assumes complete control of the powers of the Phoenix Force, but is killed in a last-ditch lethal attack by Xorn. Jean dies, telling Scott “to live”.
Gambit’s powers go beyond a royal flush, but at one point, he was potentially one of the most dangerously powerful mutants in the Marvel Universe. A prominent member of the X-Men, Gambit has perhaps one of the most understated and underrated powersets in comic books.

This particular ability trumps traveling through solid rock and magma because it makes Kitty Pryde nearly invulnerable. In a world of telepathy, Kitty is virtually a ghost. When Kitty phases, her mind does right along with her body.

The Juggernaut is the Avatar of Cytorrak as such he receives mystical energies from Cytorrak. An effect of these energies means he don’t need to breath sleep etc nor does he age. Since he’s immune to aging he is immortal.
In X-Men: First Class, moviegoers learn that Professor Xavier, leader of the X-Men, lost the use of his legs when Magneto deflected a bullet and caused it to accidentally sever his spine.
Soon after, Cain and Walters began a romantic relationship that was cut short by the arrival of Cyttorak’s new avatar. With Walters’ aid, Cain defeated the new Juggernaut, but the damage he had caused during the battle forced Walters to rethink her feelings for him.
They are both fictional metals in the Marvel comics universe, with vibranium until now only featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and adamantium on featured in the Marvel Fox Studios X-Men movies. I would suggest the defining difference is that adamantium is a manufactured alloy and vibranium is a natural metal.
The mutation that makes Wolverine worthy of the X-Men is that his cells regenerate at incredible speeds. He ages at a snail’s pace, he can re-grow parts of limbs and organs after serious injury, and he is basically impervious to infection and disease. Until now.
In a strange town near the Himalayas, Xavier encounters an alien calling himself Lucifer, the advance scout for an invasion by his race, and foils his plans. In retaliation, Lucifer drops a huge stone block on Xavier, crippling his legs.
After developing a degenerative brain disease, Charles Xavier had a seizure and lost control of his powers, causing six hundred people to be injured and the deaths of several members of the X-Men, in addition to the permanent destruction of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters.
