Well, in most cases the story is usually portrayed as being pretty simple. Peter cuts off the pirate captain’s hand in a duel (the hand is typically then consumed by a crocodile) and Hook…well… let’s just say he isn’t thrilled with Peter afterward!
After waiting through all of Season 3 for Captain Swan to get together for real, Hook died on the Once Upon a Time Season 4 finale. … On “Operation Mongoose Part 1 & 2,” Hook let evil-Charming kill him so that Emma and Henry could get away and continue Henry’s attempt at returning order to the world he knew.
With his dying breath, Rufio wishes he could have had a father like Peter. Jack comes to his senses about his father, and they reconcile. Peter duels Hook and defeats him, whereupon Hook is devoured by the reanimated corpse of the taxidermied Crocodile.
Captain Hook’s entire reputation was tarnished because he lost a sword fight to a child. He wants to kill Peter Pan as revenge. There was an interesting fan theory where the pirates were Lost Boys who grew up and escaped to the outskirts of Neverland.
As advertised, Lost Boy tells the story of Jamie, the original Lost Boy and the boy who will become Captain Hook. Through his young eyes, we see Neverland and Peter Pan like never before.
Peter Pan was in fact the villain in the first draft of J.M. Barrie’s play; Captain Hook was only introduced later as a theatrical device to help stagehands change scenery. The casting call describes him as “in his teens, and is a mischievous and devious Lost Boy”.
Swan Song
Episode no. “Swan Song” is the eleventh episode and midseason finale of the fifth season of the American fantasy drama series Once Upon a Time, which aired on December 6, 2015. In this episode, Hook and the Dark Ones try to take over Storybrooke, but in the end, Hook is redeemed, and dies.
Captain Hook evaded the first curse put on this town, but was then placed under the third “curse.” Although the character never explicitly states his age, Once Upon a Time Fandom reports that this character was born in 1811. That makes him over 200 years old.
In Barrie’s Peter Pan mythos, the crocodile swallows a clock and the hand of a pirate captain, who comes to be known as Captain Hook.
Hook acts as a sequel to Peter Pan’s original adventures, focusing on a grown-up Peter who has forgotten his childhood. Now known as “Peter Banning”, he is a successful corporate lawyer with a wife and two children.
Peter Pan loves both Wendy and Jane, but only in the way that a son loves a mother. First, Peter has Wendy come with him to Neverland to be mother to…
The “kiss” at the corner of Mrs. Darling’s mouth is a dimple, a smile, a shadow, or perhaps something not visible at all, a charm and an inaccessible depth.
“His left leg was cut off close by the hip, and under the left shoulder he carried a crutch, which he managed with wonderful dexterity, hopping about upon it like a bird.
Nibs is the only Lost Boy not to return to Neverland because he can’t bear the thought of leaving his children. Because of this he also is the only one who never meets his real parents, stays an orphan and has no chance to learn anything of his earlier life.
– He wandered in from a distant world and Peter pissed him off so much (by cutting off his hand to feed to a nearby crocodile), that he declared it bad form to leave that Island without killing the boy.
The title Jolly Roger is thought to come from the French phrase “joli rouge” which means “pretty red”. The original pirate flags were blood red rather than black and white and this signalled that no mercy would be given once the pirates boarded and battle ensued.

During the early 20th Century Captain Hook soon became enemy’s with Peter Pan for unknown reasons and in the sword fight, Pan cut off Mr. Hook’s hand, then fed it to a gigantic crocodile. He then replaced his hand with an iron hook, and hence his present name was born.
In the Underworld, Hades has told the heroes that there might be a way for Hook to leave. If he could eat of the fruit of the gods, ambrosia, he might be able to heal his body and leave the Underworld. He says Eurydice did it, and Hook can, too. But to get the fruit, there will be trials.
